• Kairos is free for every backant.io account. The API no longer checks a subscription tier; backant login and backant start check only that your token is valid.
• New page Let your agent run Kairos: install one skill and Claude Code, Codex, pi, or Hermes sets Kairos up, interviews you about every .backant.toml key, and files tasks for it.
• backant ctl config schema | get | set | status: change policy keys through the CLI with validation and a record of who answered.
• backant ctl task "<title>": file a kairos-task issue and pin it for the next turn.
• backant skill doc | install: the generated control skill for host agents.
• Docs corrections: .backant.toml changes apply on the next turn without a restart; deploy_verification values are full, workflow_only, disabled; the [gates], [freshness_manager], and [dream_tools] sections are documented.
